Looking at all the forecasts Thursday 10th May is looking like a booming wind forecast. Don’t forget the club is open till 8pm for members and those wishing to day sail.

Whether for tomorrow’s Wednesday night racing is looking excellent. Force 4 Southwesterly, bit of sun and a lot warmer. Race starts at 7.30 open to all boats. Make sure your there.

First Wednesday Sailing, Dawn to Dusk Windsurfing and Open Party for Members

Excellent start for Wednesday evening racing last night with 25 or so boats on the water and some excellent capsizes and good racing. Results will be published shortly.

As you may know windsurfers at Datchet are raising money for Windsurf 4 Cancer Research. This is organized by Datchet Watersports. If you want to take part or donate money please go to http://www.justgiving.com/DatchetWatersports

Also as part of this and the Dart 18 Inland Championships there will be a Party with Band this Saturday night. The band MFU will be playing and camping is available. There will be a curry available after sailing as well

RS 500 Open Results

RS 500 Weekend

The RS 500’s have an exciting weekend coming up at Datchet on 21st & 22nd April. On Saturday there is a training day run by class champion Tim Wilkins while on Sunday there is an Open Meeting.

The training starts at 11 am on Saturday (please be rigged but you can change after the briefing). We will be working on racing techniques with an emphasis on things that are specific to the RS 500. If you have any problems with this please let me know you will be turning up and will sort things out at the club on Saturday. The fee for the training is £20.

The Open Meeting will share the first two races with club racing on Sunday morning so the start time will be about 10.30 am. There will a further two
extra races back to back with these. The fee for the open meeting is £15. There will be a £5 discount if you attend both days.
